- Each line-item of a PO that was ordered within the last twelve weeks is considered.
- For each item, we consider three metrics:
- Lateness: Was the item delivered on or before the original date promised?
- Surprise: If there was a delay in delivery of the PO, was that delay communicated to Setpoint before the original promised date?
- Quality: Were there any quality issues with the item?
- We then sum up all the metric values described above on a per-week basis, and divide by the number of line items ordered in that week to calculate a percentage score for each metric.
- The individual scores are weighted according to the following formula:
- For Fabrication-type vendors:
- Late: 30%
- Surprise: 35%
- Quality: 35%
- For Distribution-type vendors:
- Late: 40%
- Surprise: 40%
- Quality: 20%
- Finally, these weighted scores are averaged together to produce a final overall rating for each vendor. This rating is what is displayed at the top of the vendor report card page. The several charts show per-week breakdowns of each of the individual scores, as well as the overall score.
- If you want to determine why you got a particular rating, you can click on any of the report card charts to display the raw data used to calculate the ratings. If you click on an individual bar in a chart then you will get only the data for that week. If you click anywhere else on the background of the chart, then you will get all of the data for that chart.

All Vendor users will now see a "homepage" with a Vendor Report Card when they first log in. The report card will show several things, including:- The Vendor name of the user
- The Vendor's Rating, a percentage score based upon:
- % of orders delivered on time
- % of late orders confirmed in advance
- % of quality issues
In every case, a higher percentage indicates a better Rating - The Vendor's Ranking with respect to other Vendors in the same category. This will be a figure like (3 of 15) indicating that this Vendor is the 3rd highest Rated vendor of the 15 vendors in the same vendor category. Vendors are grouped into Small, Medium, and Large categories, according to the volume of orders placed over the last 12 weeks.
- Several charts showing a graphical view of the Vendor's Rating, including the individual rating elements. You can click on any of the graphs to get a pop-up window that shows the raw data used to calculate the ratings.
